She introduced him to her close friend Leo Holub who was interviewing candidates for a new photography program at Stanford University. Leo hired Robert as a full-time Lecturer in Photography. \nThe Stanford program was immediately successful. Over the next nine years\, they taught thousands of students and Robert founded the MFA program in photography. \nRobert also showed his own work at Smith-Andersen Gallery in Palo Alto as well as at the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara. In San Francisco he was represented by Gump’s Gallery. \nThe current collection reflects unexpected moments and intriguing shapes using film cameras including Leicas\, Nikons\, and his favorite\, a vintage Hasselblad.

SUMMARY:fotographz = @t see leVel by Frank Jackson
DESCRIPTION:About the Exhibition\nFrank Jackson invites you to be @t see leVel\, where the magic of the everyday unfolds in extraordinary ways. Jackson’s photography is a graduated fine art collection that is the result of meticulous observation. \n“Being @t see leVel is about showing you the visual moments not seen by others.\nI photograph without hesitation because you should never see a image AND not photograph it to later wish you had… …being at see level is also about “doing” not thinking; about doing.” – Frank Jackson \nOnly @t see leVel can we hope to grasp the truth. Knowing reality is a condition to overcome our fears. Paradoxically\, the precision of Jackson’s photographic observations gives them a romantic touch. They show a world of feelings and emotions. \nJoin us for the rare opportunity to celebrate a piece of  the life work of an artist for the ages.  A consummate professional\, artist\, mentor and friend – Frank Jackson. \n\nAbout the Artist\nFrank Jackson is somewhat of an enigma.\nA remnant of a bygone era\, but he stands as a little-known artist whose mastery encompasses the entire history and practice of the craft of photography. He would famously say\, “I started taking pictures because I can not draw.” He then picked up a camera at 16 years old and simply fell in love. Five decades later\, Jackson’s photographs confront people with reality. A reality of flesh and blood\, hope and fear\, dreams\, longing\, love\, lost and found. \nFor him\, reality is about the truth. It may be tempting to run away from the truth. It requires physical and mental interaction in real-time – in public space\, there is no escape. \n“fotographz” is the name Jackson created to define his visual moment(s) in shadow and light – it is his identity. \nwww.fotographz.com\nIG: @fotographz \n  \n  \n  \n

My journey as a photographer began as a kid capturing moments with disposable cameras. In high school\, I took a photography class where I learned the Exposure Triangle (ISO\, Shutter Speed\, and Aperture)\, how to develop film\, and amongst other things. \nRealizing that I have the vision a photographer needs\, in 2019\, I decided to purchase my first professional camera. Knowing there’s a lot of learning to be done\, I started photographing everything from Landscape\, Architectural\, and Street photography. As much as I love capturing those types of styles\, photographing people was something I wanted to do. \nThe same year I purchased my Camera\, I did my first photo shoot in Oxnard\,Ca with Hip-Hop artist Xprssn. From there\, I have been published in magazines\, received IMDB credits\, and started my photography business DJC Vision. \nRecently\, I held my first solo exhibit at The ICON titled\, The Space at Icon presents: The Vision by Dante J. Cutley. It’s A Collection that displays my versatility from Portraits\, Fine Art\, Candid photography\, and much more. \nAs my photography journey continues\, I want to focus on doing more Cinema photography\, Documentary\, and Studio work.\nWhile in between time\, I am still continuing to do the other photography styles that I love.
